Who is responsible

What we collect

• Account information. Your email address, used to sign you in and to tie your subscription to you.
• Spiritual data. Your prayers, fasting records and reading history are stored on your device. Saved verses and quotes are synced to your account only so they follow you to a new phone.
• Anonymous usage statistics. Aggregate numbers used to improve the app. They are not linked to your identity.

We do not sell personal data, and we do not use it for advertising.

Why we may process it, and on what basis

• To provide the service — performance of our contract with you (GDPR Art. 6(1)(b)). This covers your account, your subscription and syncing what you have saved.
• To keep the service secure and working — our legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f)).
• To meet accounting and tax obligations — legal obligation (Art. 6(1)(c)).

Storage and security

Personal data on your device is stored in the operating system’s protected app storage, and credentials in the device keychain. Our servers hold your account details and subscription status, and are hosted within the EU.

We keep account data for as long as you have an account. When you delete your account it is removed after a 14-day grace period, which exists so an accidental deletion can be undone.

Who else is involved

• Payments — handled by Apple, Google, Stripe and RevenueCat. We never see or store your card details.
• Hosting — our servers and database, inside the EU.
• Push notifications — delivered through Apple and Google.

These act as processors on our behalf, except for the app stores, which are independent controllers for the purchase itself.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you may request access to your data, correction, erasure, restriction, portability, and you may object to processing based on legitimate interest. Write to support@ortholife.app and we will answer within one month.

You can delete your account from inside the app at any time — Profile → Account → Delete account. Because most data is local, deleting the app also removes your local spiritual data.

If you believe we handle your data wrongly, you may complain to the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection (IMY), imy.se.

Children

OrthoLife is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child has given us personal data, contact us and we will remove it.

Changes

If this policy changes materially, we will say so in the app before the change takes effect. The date below always reflects the current version.
