What we collect

We process your email address, account profile and subscription status to provide the app. Depending on the features you use, we also store saved verses and quotes, notes, reading history, progress, followed churches, comments, likes, chat membership and messages, and reports and blocks. Chat images are stored in our file storage. We also use usage statistics and technical logs to operate and improve the service.

Why we may process it, and on what basis

• To provide the service — performance of our contract with you (GDPR Art. 6(1)(b)). This covers your account, your subscription and syncing what you have saved.
• To keep the service secure and working — our legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f)).
• To meet accounting and tax obligations — legal obligation (Art. 6(1)(c)).

Storage and security

The app stores data on your device and on our servers. Saved content and reading history sync with your account. Chat content is encrypted by the app and images are stored separately. Access to account data and private features is restricted through authentication and access controls.

Your account will be marked for deletion. You have 14 days to sign in again to restore it. After that, your account and associated personal data will be permanently deleted. This cannot be undone.

Deleting your account does not cancel an App Store or Google Play subscription. Billing continues until you cancel through the store. Open subscription management below before continuing.

Who else is involved

Supabase provides accounts, database and real-time features. Our API and Strapi supply app and church content; MinIO stores audio and chat images. Apple handles iOS purchases and Google Play handles Android purchases; RevenueCat manages subscription status. API.Bible supplies Bible material and YouTube/Vimeo provide embedded videos. Maps are provided by Apple or Google depending on the platform. We do not store your card details.

Your rights

You can request account deletion under Profile > Delete your account. Uninstalling the app does not delete data stored on our servers or cancel your store subscription. Contact support@ortholife.app with questions about your data.

Children

OrthoLife is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child has given us personal data, contact us and we will remove it.

Changes

If this policy changes materially, we will say so in the app before the change takes effect. The date below always reflects the current version.
